When he arrived his coat was in\r\n\ta terrible state from bad nutrition, neglect and untreated medical conditions. With the advice of the rescue group to place him on a grain\r\n\tfree food, with the help of my local pet store (Petstock Ferrymead) I choose Acana. I now feed him a mix of Acana Regionals Pacifica and\r\n\tHeritage Adult. Rusty’s coat is brilliant, he has no skin issues which is uncommon for both Staffies and Shar Pei’s and I am always been\r\n\tcomplemented on how shiny he is. I love Acana and would recommend it to anyone, especially those with breed that experience skin conditions.\r\n",

"post_content_short": "I think your products are amazing! Thank you! I've always raved about Orijen after switching my mini schnauzer X on to the Original formula. She had always had trouble with keeping her weight down and after trying almost every light or weight control food from popular brands I finally made the switch to Orijen! Wow I wish I had made the change so much sooner! She dropped the fat and toned up and looked incredible with the energy and speed to match.\r\nSo like I said I have loved and supported Orijen\/Acana for a while now but recently I have been even more impressed with what I have seen\r\nAcana do for my new puppy.\r\nI recently adopted a huntaway mix from a rescue who had a rough start. When I got him home he was pretty thin his coat was a bit flaky and\r\ndull and he would only eat his food when it was mixed with wet food and hot water. As soon as I could I began the switch to Acana puppy and\r\njunior and we have hit a major turning point in just a few weeks! His sensitive tummy has settled right down and he nearly back flips for\r\nhis dinner. During the time we were attending puppy preschool and by week 3 everyone was commenting on how amazing he was looking in\r\nparticular his coat! I had put the skin issues down to losing his puppy fluff but I was wrong and I still cannot believe how shiny and\r\nglossy his black coat is! And I'm over the moon that I can no longer see his hip bones sticking up while he plays and instead nice muscle\r\nand happy fit puppy! I can't wait to see how he matures with such great nutrition and know he will be in perfect condition to start his own\r\ncareer in sports when the time comes.\r\nSorry for such a long winded email I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate being able to feed such amazing food to my crew and\r\njust what amazing results I have experienced with it from not just one but now 2 dogs with completely different needs! "post_content_short": "Here is a bit of my journey with Valley since August 2017. It was around Feb\/March 2017 Valley suffered a brain injury, we almost lost her\r\nbut after a large dose of steroids she started to come right. August came and with weaning her off steroids she lost all of her coat, it was\r\nthin, wiry, dry and broken. I was feeding a raw diet and continued to do so until August 2018. Her coat was starting to grow back within\r\nthis year but very slowly and we had a major set back in Jan 2018 with her injury again and once again we almost lost her. She is now on a\r\nlow dose of steroids permanently. July 2018 and her coat started to fall out again, I was due with my second child in August and raw feeding\r\nbecame just to hectic with two small children so I decided to switch completely to Acana after talking about all other foods with Erin. \r\nBy October we both noticed a massive difference in her coat, it stopped falling out, her colouring became darker and started to thicken. And\r\nnow it’s been 6 months feeding her Acana and her coat is looking amazing, it’s thick, rich in colour, super soft and luscious. In parallel\r\nwith feeding Acana I have also been professionally grooming her every 3\/4 weeks to ensure her coat is looked after to the fullest.

\r\nHope you enjoyed my story so far, this year will be the year to tell if her coat falls out again but so far it’s looking good and she’s\r\n(touch wood) hasn’t had a relapse for some months now.",

"post_content_short": "After changing from Royal Canin six months ago I've noticed a huge difference in quality of coat, over all body condition and muscle tone.\r\nAfter breeding and showing English Toy Terriers for several years I struggled to find a product that would provide enough protein and fat to suit the high energy levels of my dogs. \r\nThe change became more apparent after one of my girls Kasan whelped her last litter of puppies, the coats on the puppies are outstanding,\r\nthe bitch held her weight and had more milk production than normal. There was also a noticeable difference in the birth weights of the new\r\nborn puppies, and the bitch did not loose her appetite after whelping.\r\nI would highly recommend this product to other breeders as I have not found anything else that compares.",

"post_content_short": "Up until a few weeks ago we were feeding Dex supermarket dog kibble as that was what she had been on at the adoption centre. We knew we\r\nwanted to feed her something better but with so much choice out there we really didn't know what product to go for.

\r\nAfter long investigations on the net we emailed Orijen and Vanessa sent out a sample pack for us to try (a decent size too) and answered all\r\nmy questions. While Dex does tend to eat anything and isn't fussy (there must be some Lab in there also!) we knew she enjoyed the Orijen as\r\nshe ate that first when we mixed it with a cheaper brand. She has had no problem with the transition onto Orijen from her other food and we\r\nhave just purchased our first pack.

\r\nWhile it is more expensive than the supermarket variety of kibble we at least know we are feeding her a better quality food and don't have\r\nto feed her as much. Time will tell but we are happy so far with her reaction to it and and Orijen's prompt, efficient service.",

"post_content_short": "Our three-year-old black Labrador, Dash, recently won the top retriever award at the recent National Gun Dog Championships.
\r\n\r\nHeld at the South Auckland Trial Grounds, Tuakau, the event involved 60 dogs and their handlers taking part in a series of simulated\r\nshooting situations. Dash (real name Skinevalley Blackthorn) took part in the retriever events and was unanimously judged the top retriever\r\nat the event.\r\nDash is kept fully fit and healthy thanks to Acana Cob Chicken food. Moved to Acana and away from cereal based food and the dog have gone\r\nfrom strength to strength. With visits to the vets only down to routine visits plus less waste to pick up it’s certainly been a bonus.\r\nHowever the main reason to moving to Acana is the condition of the dog he is not only fitter but has good stamina being able to concentrate\r\nand work for long periods in the field. \r\nCost is always in our mind but, purchasing the 17kg bag last 5 weeks and feeding two dogs twice a day its averages out at around $2.15 a day\r\nper dog, and for the performance I receive from my dogs I have no doubt its value for money. \r\n
